Help with VIN location!

I recently purchased a 2000 Cardinal 5th wheel from my brother who lives in Illinois. I live in Ohio and in order to get the title in my name the BMV has to match the VIN # from the title to the one on the camper. We can't find the one on the camper anywhere! I have googled and looked everywhere they suggested it could be. What can I do if it has worn off?

Are the stickers on the drivers side towards the front still there an visible, that would be the 1st place to look.
Next would near the pin box.
There could be a sticker inside one of the cabinets inside.

Edit: One other possibility is your brother may be able to get a replacement sticker from forest river.

Thank you for responding

There is a white square on the drivers side , I would say a sticker has been there but has either faded off or fallen off. I have also looked in the cabinets

Long shot...given the age, but did you go all around the base of the frame and underneath ? My old 2007 jayco had one down low along the frame that was barely visible.

Here is a list of places I have found the VIN number. Most will be on the left/drivers side of the rv.
on the frame near the pin box
on a metal tag welded or riveted to the hitch
steel frame member under the camper body
stamped on a metal section of the frame
on a sticker inside a cabinet door or wall
cargo carrying capacity sticker

Mine have always been on the frame near the top of the pin box on the passenger side. The outside stickers nearly always fade out.

I know my has worn off. It was located on the drivers side of the 5th wheel near the front just below the access door for the front struts. The sticker over the years has completely worn off. Seems it should be more permanent

VIN sticker replacement method

My VIN sticker on my 2004 TT was almost gone, too, when having to register it in FL from UT. The officer was able to make it out (barely) and told me to complete an affidavit request for a new sticker with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
I just called and was told I need to present photocopies of all documents listed for that purpose, on the DMV website in my state. i.e. proof of ownership via front and back views of title; Form 84004 (in FL) which is the affidavit request, etc. Once that's turned in , they send it to our state capital to order a new sticker for me. Finally, the postman comeths with the goods.

I'd forgotten about needing to do that! Thanks for the reminder.

The VIN stickers are the first thing thieves peel away. Each manufacturer stamps a secondary VIN into the frame somewhere.

Yes, my VIN was stamped on top of the triangular frame near the jack and batteries. However, the officer verifying it told me he officially needed to see the sticker. Guess they're afraid anyone could carve a VIN # into a frame.
