We picked up a 3350RLX a few months ago and are very happy with it. The layout is great. Big shower, king size bed, two quiet AC’s, new larger oven the list goes on and on.

I heard Cedar Creek was not not putting the rear caps on the Hathaway anymore. I wanted to move up to the 36CK2 but we like the rear cap. I have heard that the rear cap will only be on the Champagne and I would have to get a new dually for that model. I have no interest in a dually. We are planning on taking one more trip to Alaska next year and we may be looking at a new camper next year this time. The 3350 has lots of windows at the back and we like to see out plus it’s a little wider. Overall a great looking camper

We purchased our 2018 3350 RLX in March, and love it. Excellent fit and finish; check out the quality of the wood and the joints in the drawers in the bedroom. Outstanding layout in the kitchen and living room. Easy hitch-up (5 minutes is my record so far). We looked at many other models for a few years before pulling the trigger on this one. No regrets. We tow with a Ford 350 Super Duty diesel, like a champ.

I plan on going to Alaska next year and my Creek maybe ready for a trade. I saw that you could get disk brakes as a option, anyone know about what the cost is installed at the factory

It going to be cheaper than adding after the fact. I did it on my 3850RL 2 years ago. $2500. As an FYI, the factory doesn't do the install either, they just start with a frame that already has them installed from lippert. I had inquired about adding disc brakes while mine was still being built, and they said they dont do that.

That’s not to bad, I paid $2750 to have the disk brakes installed in my driveway at home

Yea, it was probably the same guys that did mine too....performancetrailerbraking.com. They did a great job.

I have a option build sheet from October that shows the disc brake option cost is $2993.00.

I’d have it priced out at a dealer for confirmation as the build sheet is older and includes options no longer available, such as the Estate option.

Looking at the 3350. do 2 AC units keep this cool in the heat of Texas or Arizona? I see there is an option for a 3rd AC unit, is it needed?

Don't even think about not getting that third a/c! We picked up our 3350rlx this past February. We ordered our unit with just about every option except disc brakes and full body paint. Since Feb, we already have traveled over 9000 miles in our unit, and only just barely crossed the NV state line from California, twice. We use our unit a couple weeks a month for work (outside sales), and have so far been in seemingly every climate except high humidity, and snow. While two a/c's may suffice, the third leaves no question that you can have the inside temp as low as is comfortable for you; even with no shade and temps over 105 outside. For the approx. $900 extra, it is money well spent. Would cost far more to add it later, even if the unit comes "ready" for it. Let the factory do it. The other thing is that when the weather is decent, running just the center (3rd) unit gives a nice airflow throughout the unit just to get rid of the stuffiness. We love our trailer. It is well insulated, well built and very comfortable. Happy Shopping!

You didn’t get the disk brakes. I’m looking at a 3350. I heard that Cardinal was taking the rear caps off. That would not be a problem if I could option a rear cap in. Cedar Creek Hathaway is taking off the rear caps and won’t let you option one on. When I trade it will be between Cedar Creek 36CK2 and Cardinal 3350. We like the rear cap and since I do all the driving I like the disk brakes

It stops just fine with the drum brakes, even when traffic at freeway speed suddenly comes to an unexpected stop. They are "never adjust", which means they adjust every time you apply them in a forward direction, just like a disc brake.

I definitely agree with the rear cap thing. We refused to look at anything that otherwise would work which lacked a rear cap. They look cheap without it. I don't understand what the mfg's are thinking; the cap couldn't cost that much. At least make it an option.

We had three motorhomes in a row. The last was an ordered Jayco Seneca super C (diesel). What a POS. In seven months and 11500 miles, we were up to 45 defects; many of which were unresolved. Traded it in on the Cardinal, which we had completely forgot existed. Almost bought a Montana Legacy (because it had a rear cap); also almost bought a Cedar Creek Hathaway (because of the rear cap), but stumbled onto the Cardinal RLX at the Pomona show last year. Ordered on the spot after a very generous trade allowance was offered. Couldn't be happier.

What size is your center unit? Does it have the heat pump?

The center (and front) is 13500K, no heat pump. The only heat pump that was available was on the main 15K unit. It works well if it is not too cold outside. Once the outside temp gets below around the low 40's, the compressor will not operate, thus no heat.

We tow with a 15 Chevy K3500 crew cab, SRW, duramax. It does well. Probably could do a 2500, if you didn't overdo the options as we did. My pin weight while loaded for a three week trip is just over 3000 pounds; too heavy for a 2500. I am only about 600 pounds from my max.

Truck and trailer play together nicely. Only issue is our crappy maintained CA highways. Some of the highway joints just get things to bouncing. Added timbrens and bilstein 5100s. May upgrade to fox shocks or add a trailair pinbox. Still debating.
