Ladder OOOPS!

Anyone know where I can get a new ladder for a 3450RL?

This is what happens when you don't have a spotter and your new rear view camera hasn't arrived!

My first day towing it!!!

Not sure why the ladder picture is askew, but if you click on it, it's the right way.

I did the same thing exactly, had to order it from my dealer. First one sent was wrong 2nd one was correct took about 3 mos. for me to get the right one. The cost was under 200.00 dollars installed if I remember right it was 4 years ago.

I would just cut it off flush at the bottom rung...probably will happen again.

I backed into my shed and broke the window with my spare tire. Luckily, no damage to camper/spare tire. Cost me $50 for a replacement window...and $200 for backup camera.

Lost the bottom on ours pulling out of the dealership so don't feel bad, like Toddupton said just cut it off at first step. I have lost two over the years by dragging them over low spots.

Like anything new.....I guess you have to christen it!

Still pee'd off I did it!

Haven't even slept in it once!

It went from where I bought it a week ago to the RV shop and I had the complete roof and slides resealed. I picked it up today and did this backing into my spot beside my house by running into my rock retaining wall at the back. At least no body damage. Just the ladder. It also broke at the first rung attachment to the RV. No salvaging it unless I cut it off 4' off the ground and use a step ladder to get on the rear ladder.

TIP OF THE DAY FROM: BEEN THERE; DONE THAT!!
Go to Sam's and for <$20, buy set of ORANGE CONES. Throw them in your truck bed. Great for road emergency use.
PLACE ONE CONE IN EACH MIRROR SIDE REAR VISUAL AND MOST IMPORTANT; ONE AT THE ABSOLUTE MAX BACKING DEPTH. That final cone is positioned so when you are in the truck seat, when that cone is equal to your driver door; OMG; TIME TO STOP!!
Have not hit anything, like my parked golf cart again!!👍. ( or my neighbors rv extended awning&#128514
If you saw your ladder off, please do a nice clean job. I always wonder, "What the heck got him?"
Just say'n

I caught mine on a rr crossing arm and ordered a new one from fr. They sent wrong one first then sent correct one. About $140 plus @ $200 shipping i think. Still have the other brand new black ladder that has never been mounted. I'd sell it cheap but shipping is cost prohibitive. Mine had a sticker under one of the lower rungs with model number. Fr will ship you one but it costs. Good luck.

Well, I didn't have to cut it off at the bottom rung!

I got on a ferry this weekend and once on board, I was just getting out of the truck and a fellow walked up to me and said "I think this is yours" and handed me the lower section of ladder.

Guess I dragged the back end low enough getting on the ferry that it caught and pulled away.

Problem solved itself!
