Are they the round, recessed LED lights with the frosted glass cover? If so, they are failing everywhere. I've read several different reasons, mainly that they changed manufacturing procedures and the new procedure didn't work. For the 4-1/2" fixtures, FR will sell them for about $12 each, but they are still under warranty. There is no bulb in them - the entire fixture has to be replaced. Isaac Montgomery at FR provided me pricing and a part number when I was researching it. If you remove the glass cover (just twist it to unlock the cam device), you'll see the LEDs on the "bulb" assembly. There are several clusters of them. Some are on, others off. Touch one of the clusters that is off with your fingertip and it will most likely light up - for a moment. Sometimes the LEDs simply turn to dust or fall off. Of twelve fixtures, I have six bad right now and have had the coach since April.

You can get them cheapest from Forest River:

COACH :

Forest River Plant 40 Part #
Description
Price Ea

4.5" LED CEILING LIGHT ** 40E10700A for lens only**
$11.90

As mentioned, I had exchanged emails with Isaac Montgomery:

ISAAC
Parts Department
Forest River Diesel, Plant #40
imontgomery@forestriverinc.com
Phone: (574) 522-1747
FAX: (574) 523-1479

I also made contact with the manufacturer:

Char
chars@itc-us.com
ITC Incorporated

Phone: (616) 396-1355 – Fax: (616) 396-1152 Elkhart, IN – Phone: (574) 389-8986

They told me to take it to the dealer and get them replaced under warranty as they did have some bad batches of fixtures.

Why are you BUYING them???
They are under warranty and FR knows there are issues with them.
If you contact either your dealer or FR you should be able to get new ones
for free!

I don't plan on buying them, it's just a real pain to take it to the useless dealer for warranty replacement. I spoke with Mitch Wirt and FZr will not send warranty replacement parts to the consumer, only to a dealer. I spoke with the manufacturer, who also acknowledges issues, and they will only furnish warranty replacements to FR! Thought me saving them the labor would be a plus but they don't look at it that way. I've found another FR dealer and plan to take the coach in to them soon.

Why buy something that fails ? Maybe a more expensive brand will work a lot longer

Wow! Another issue with my Cardinal that I found by reading these forums. Got the same problem with my lights. I have about four of them out. Along with the water tank that was falling out, the pimpleing on the walls , Rotting wood along the slide outs, roof leaks due to poor design with the aluminum sides, Cracking paint, refrigerator doors that come open due to poor designed handles, etc, etc. I've only owned mine for two months! What's next! Is there anything called quality anymore?

918,

It sounds like you got a good one. I wish the list was that short for my 2015 Rockwood Ultralight. My list of problems has 20 items on it associated with the manufacturer, and 8 associated with the almost totally non existent or incorrectly done dealer prep. I think it's just the state of the industry. No quality control whatsoever.
