Model 3825FL

Will be taking delivery of a new 2018 in a few short weeks, our very first RV that we will be living in full time. Any others out there with the same model and living in it full time?

Welcome.... been doing the front living room thing for a while.... enjoy it way over the RL and RK 's that we've had in the past.

Not doing the full time thing, but be prepared for a long list of items to be fixed. While I believe these are quality units, the guys building them are just going too fast to do them right.

On our first trip out, I had to caulk the shower door, tighten all the waterline connections on the water pump, redo coax connections on cable hookup as I had no tv, and a long list that continued to build until now a year later. Most of the items were build quality issues.

That said, we are happy with our 3850rl, it's just frustrating on a new unit pushing $100k to have to deal with this.

We have a 2016 3825fl and are in it 11 months out of the year.
Be aware that the rear closet will empty it's contents into the floor during travel so remove hanging clothes and anything on shelves.
Check your cargo carrying capacity. It may not be enough. 1665 lb per yellow tag.
Hopefully yours came with G or H tires. Mine came with E.( replaced at purchase with rims and tires from our previous coach.)
Had to re caulk shower. Re caulk partially outside ( rear slide)because they missed it at the factory.
Warranty replaced rear air 7 months into ownership. Broken clamp nicked line inside and released oil and affected cooling.
Be aware the furnace intake is right beside your bed.
Water pump and black tank flush leaking.
Black tank valve replaced.
Trim needed re installed in bedroom.
2nd awning not installed properly and needs moved. So it is useless until fixed.
2nd awning flexed sidewall and now there are hairline cracks in the gel coat.
Also dealer cross threaded water filter canister. Had to bypass filter by removing it.
If you are sitting in one spot this is a fine rv. I really liked it until we started traveling in it.
If you are traveling not so much.
Maybe I just got a bad one. But I know I can't wait while it sits on a dealers lot or at the factory It is my home while working on the road.
Needless to say the one we are looking to trade for isn't a forest river, isn't front living and has a 3300 lb cc. Also it has 17.5 tires and disc brakes.
All rvs have issues. This one just has more than most.

That's the only real thing I'm unhappy with. The closet is terrible. Other than that we've had the gray water valve lock up. We haven't traveled any really long distances with it yet. I love it though.

Thank you for all the replies. We won't be towing ours for several years and are hopeful that our issues are/will be at a minimum as a result. We are paying to have it transported from the MFG plant in Elkhart to our RV Resort in Phoenix then there it will sit for next 4-5 years as we live in it full time. My fingers are crossed that a 2018 model might ensure that some of the problems in the 16 & 17 models have now been corrected.

I also had to recaulk my shower. I had to replace my bathroom faucet recently too. The cold water kept dripping till it was a constant stream. I had to fix the duct tape in the vent at the rear ac where they didn't tape it will from factory. I had pieces of duct tape flying through my vents from there poor job.
