PigTail to 5th wheel connector box

Can any one tell a "Dummy" newbe that pulled away from our Cardinal 3450RL with out up plugging the electrical pigtail from the bed, the wiring diagram. Most are blue to blue but there is a large red, small red, red stripped and black leftover from the trailer. A small red and a medium black in the pigtail. Thanks

Not a dummy. Ours got caught between tailgate and bed and got ripped totally off this fall. Had a crimp set and fixed in campground. Don't remember wiring now. Called up standard wiring for plug on phone. Figured it out. Did one wire at time and checked to make sure it was working.

Thanks. Unfortunately I took all the way apart first. Some was color for color. Just the Reds and blacks don't make sense. Stopped for night. Try again in morning. Thanks

Thanks. That is very helpful. So the small red to small red. Looks like the big red goes to black?

It looks like you have a white and green going to green. I tried all whites together

Well, it is great that you guys have got this problem worked out. It seems that "camper families" just help each other out is our normal thing to do. I forgot to pull my plug one time and as I pulled forward my wife screamed so no damaged done except for a red face!

I suspect that anyone who hasn't pulled away without disconnecting something at least once, especially from travel trailers where there are safety chains, electrical connection, and break-away cable, is either an extraordinary person or just hasn't towed that much. It's like being a motorcyclist; you are either a rider who has had an accident or one who is going to. I refuse to let anyone distract me while I'm hitching or unhitching; too easy to forget something.

This is one of several reasons we (DW) and I are big believers and users of check lists. We use them for inside items and a different one for outside items when we hook and unhook. Getting to the point where we can't remember every thing.
