Power control system

Would someone explain what this panel does. Am i supposed to change something such as when I run a external generator or 30 amp.
Or is this just a panel telling me whats going on.

That panel is part of what is called a power management system. It's function is to perform load shedding when your 50 amp rig is plugged into something less than 50 amps(30 or less). It does a good job automatically detecting 50 vs 30 amp circuit. When the overall power draw exceeds 30 amps, it will automatically cut the power to the few high amperage devices shown(a/c, wh, etc.) Somewhat seamlessly, so that you don't notice too much.

The only thing you can do is to manually downgrade your service so that it more agressively cuts out certain devices if the post you're plugged into isn't up to the task.

I don't do much with it, except occasionally see what mY amp draw is when not on 50a service.
