I generally leave mine on 24 hours before adding food.
BTW my 2005 does NOT have any fans, and my refer is in a slide.

Interesting. If you ever decide to add fans I will let you know where I got the exact same fans for under $15 each and the refrigerator dealer and RV dealer wanted over $100 each.

Thanks, I have a couple computer muffin fans sitting around, just never saw a need. My OE refer is still chugging away perfectly.
