Replacing furniture

Greetings! We purchased a 4-year old Cardinal, and after many, many repairs, we have it in good running order except we need to replace the sofa and recliners. Is there a way to get the old furniture out and new furniture in without taking out a window?

I don't see why not.
The recliners and the couch might have a removable backrest and if not recline the chairs and carry them out sideways, the couch might be a bit trickier but if you don't plan to reuse or donate it just make (brake) it into manageable pieces.

I was a mover for 20 yrs. He is rigjt on the chairs. If the couch is not taller then the door. Stand it on end with the seating part of the couch facing the the jam where the door closes and rotate out the door. If that does not work and you are not saving it just saw it in half.

Thanks so much. In the Spring we want to replace both swivels and the sofa since we bought used and just want to update.

I changed an incliner chair in my 2011 fifth wheel for a removable back wall hugger Lazyboy. It was in there so tight it was one of the toughest furniture moves ever. Worth the effort except when we went to put it BACK IN when unit was traded! Still feel the pain 1 year later 😁 Next time will be a diamond blade saw and cut the side of the RV out and use Gorilla Tape to seal it 😀

Didn't have recliners in our trailer but replaced the swivel chairs we had without a problem and put in a pair of rocker recliners.

The backs of the recliners we bought to replace the swivel rockers come off so it was easy for me to swap them out by myself.

The rockers were laid down on their side and pulled out front of the seat first with a little turn to get the back out.

I can see getting an old sofa out would be no problem if you take it apart. But what about getting a new one in? Is there a trick to it?

Is it a sofa/bed?

If so then I would open it to a bed, lay a 2X4 on top.

Loop a rope on one end of the 2X4, pass the rope under the bottom and loop it on the other end of the 2X4, this should make the couch stay open.

You can then lift in while on edge and it should fit thru the door easy with two people.

Had both the sofa and the recliners out of my VCross with NO problem at all, the back of the recliners come off and the sofa is exactly thewidth of the door.

In putting the new stuff in, just make sure you get an RV friendly sofa and chairs. I got Harbour Bay Laze-boys which are very comfy and very easy to get in, for the sofa, just measure measure measure and make sure it fits BEFORE you buy it. many sofa's out there in the furniture world will not work with out taking a window out.

The windows are not all that hard to remove and reinstall if you have to. Just a bunch of screws and give it a push. Carefully
