Saw one of those on a big Montana where I got the Lite.

It should help with the towing, air bags on your PU will held as well.

I have a Trail-Aire pinbox on my SOB. It really does help the ride. You can see the trailer moving up and down in the mirror but don't feel it. Trail-Aire is now owned by Lippert. My next time around I think I would go with the Fifth Airborne. I like the way the airbag is tucked away and not out in the open. It's hinged in the front instead of the back but does the same thing. I also have airbags on my truck but I don't think they do anything for the ride except to level the truck out..JMHO

Thanks all for the info. I would like to install shocks on my 5th wheel, there would have to be some modifactions done to install shocks. I don't understand why 5th wheel trailers do not come with shocks.

I don't have one yet, but I do like the trail-air pinbox over the Airbourne. My only assumption on this, is that the pivot is further from the king pin on the Trail-air and would absorb the shock better. As for shocks on a fifth wheel, look for forum member Old Coot's shock modification. He put shocks on Flagstaff 5er.

Might try the trail air Tri-glide. You get reduction in the up / down shock, AND the forward / aft shock. It's like combining a MorRyde with a standard trail air. I got one on order, and hopefully it will be in soon as the ridged pin box stinks.

I wonder if the trail air Tri-glide pin box will make my trailer ride higher on the hitch, I don't have any room to spare on my trailer height to get it under my shed.

I have a Tri-Glide. It does make the trailer sit about 1 1/2 inches higher in front. You may be able to move it up another hole when you install it. In all honesty if I bought another I would leave off he the Tri-Glide jaw. Lots of bumping and banging when starting out or stopping. Don't know how it tows without the Tri-Glide portion as I've always had one. Bought mine at a national rally when Lippert had just bought the company. They were selling them with a Tri-Glide jaw for $525.00 complete. Couldn't turn it down. You can always let the air out and bring the nose down a bit if clearance to get in the shed matters. Couldn't tell you how much it will drop compared to the original pin box.
