rubber roof

I have a 2006 cardinal model 30 wble with a rubber roof. I want to apply a coating to help protect it. How do I know if I have a EPDM so I can buy the correct material?

If the edge or backside is black, it probably is EPDM.

Other general rules of thumb are:

EPDM is rubber. It feels exactly like an inner tube on a tire.
TPO is plastic. It's harder and less stretchy.

EPDM has a matte surface.
TPO has a shiny, slick surface.

EPDM seams are cemented together.
TPO seams are heat welded
