Satellite cable cover on roof

Trying to figure out what's what in the cables before my Dish equipment arrives. Took off the Sat cover on the roof and found a gray coax loop, uncut. I have 2 tvs in the coach (Cardinal 5th wheel 2017). Wondering if I have to cut the cable and each piece goes to a different tv. Advice?

That would be my guess. but how you wire will be dependent on which satellite service you are getting. If Directv with the traveler HD dish, that will be SWM, and there is only one connection to the dish. OLder style dishes would have a dedicated run from the satellite to each of the TV's, with one of them connecting as primary, and the other as secondary. Those are a real PITA, because those dishes cannot see all satellites at the same time, and from the primary TV depending on the channel you select, will cause the dish to move, and whatever was being watched on the secondary tv will be affected as well.

Dish Network, 2 receivers, and a Tailgater dual cable dish.

Satellite cable cover on roof

Itís a single cable wired to your living room TV area up to the roof and then back down to the bedroom TV. Youíll cut and terminate it on the roof and end up with a direct run to each location.
