If you have a toy hauler, you need a ladder just to reach the top of the cupboards!

I'm a big boy and really don't trust the factory ladders, plus I'm not walking on my roof! If I didn't carry one I'd surely need it.

You're just lazier than the average person tho' + being unhandy at unbolting and the bolts wear out

I use a telescoping ladder they are only about 2 foot long when collapsed so they store easily. I use mine on the motorhome and and home. There are many types on Amazon.

We have a 4 ft step ladder that we keep under the bed. Other than that we get on the roof and handle anything higher.

I carry a telescoping ladder. Breaks down very small and doesn't weigh much. Comes in handy if you have an awning problem or burnt out light bulbs. Sometimes I put my carry out satellite dish on the roof with weights just to get it out of the way.

Yep, this is one of those "when you need it, you really REALLY need it" RV accessories.

This is the one we have:
GP Logistics SLDD6 6' Compact Folding Ladder - Rv Ladders - Amazon.com

Fits in the 4x4 Bumper, so it's not dangling off the ladder in the back

ladder stepstool

I have a stepstool that i need to access top bunk in my unit, but its also used to assist in reaching stuff inside, putting on the dome, reaching to wash off/clean off exterior, hang lights, etc. While traveling, its folds and is stored on the bottom bunk.

GREAT Ladder

About 3 years ago, I purchased a folding ladder from Camping World and it was a great investment. The ladder is 7' tall and when folded it is about 4 square inches. I have not seen it anyplace else but might be available at some other retail or on-line site. A little pricey but for me--worth every penny.
It fits very easily in my storeage bay. Takes about one minute to set up or take down. I am 6" tall and with this can reach just about anything. Also weight about 250 and supports me just fine.
Hers's the link if interested: 7' Double-Sided Rung Ladder - GP Logistics SLD-D7 - Ladders - Camping World
Hope that helps.

We also have the 7' compact folding ladder. Fits in our basement. Lightweight and easy to use.

Always good to carry a step ladder. I use mine all the time with my pop up. Camping without one would not be the same.

Vin.

I documented my install as well but it was a couple of years ago.

5x5 8 foot long vinyl fence post covers with caps.
I used 4 inch symmetrical gutters for the drawers.

I will try to find my thread.

My short, French wife has to have a little step stool in the bathroom else she can't open/close the roof vent!! (Maybe I'll upgrade to one with a remote!!)

Ladder

For those that don't know Camping world and probably others on line carry a 6 ft foldable ladder that collapses down to 3x3 inches... for a camper and limited storage issues its pretty nice. Remember that old saying you don't need it till you need it.

collapsible ladder

I have a ladder from Home Depot that I carry in the basement of my Berkshire 390rb. This ladder will extend to 10 feet but collapses to just over 4 feet stores flat. It extends and retracts very quickly and is very sturdy...
