what tires do you have? we also bought a 3825fl last spring and it came with goodyear G614 tires. i'm not aware of any recalls for them (but then again i'm not aware of lots of things).

Go to arfc.org website for recall info on your 3825fl.
Federal placards are wrong. If your unit was produced Nov. 20, 2015 and April1, 2016.
My 2016 produced October 2015 had load range E Marathon. Made the dealer swap for my load range G S637 Sailuns before we took delivery. To me trailer is too heavy for the load range E. When the sailuns wear out will replace with a 17.5 wheel and tire.

Tire placard is on the road side near the propane hatch. The manufacture date should be on one of the placards so you can check your build date and see if you fall within the Nov. 20, 2015 to April 1, 2016 time frame. My guess is your unit was built before Nov. ( like mine). Because of the 10 ply marathons.
The tires I had them swap out from my old trailer are 235 85 16 load range G.
However to put load range G on your 3825fl you would have to go to a different rim to handle the 110 psi the tires hold. I kept the rims I had on the old trailer.
The rims on your 3825fl with the marathons are probably only rated for 80 psi.
When I contacted forest river I was told I didn't fall under the recall because of the October build date. 1 month too early for the recall. I guess they decided to put G rated on in November.
Anything that weighs this much needs G or H rated tires IMHO.

If you post a picture of your rims I can tell you if you have the old style wheels rated to 80 psi or if you have the 110 psi rims. We just looked at a couple of 2016 Cardinals the other day (3850 and 3825) and they ordered them with Marathon tires. Not enough tire for either of those rigs.

Then you must have the Goodyear G614's as the Marathon's are only rated to 80 psi. The G614 is a dealer option and the better dealers know to order them with the better tires.

General info on recalls.

If your RV is under a recall you are suppose to receive information in the mail from RV company (if you are original owner) After a RV is re-sold then the RV dealer should file the appropriate perwork but IMO that seldom happens.

You can go to NHTSA web site and do search to see if your vehicle or tires or other components are under recall.

RE tires. All tires are suppose to be registered by selling dealer. When on new RV that would be the RV dealer responsibility. If you buy tires then the tire dealer is suppose to do that.

You can learn more about tire registration in my blog post on the topic.

Roger, I need to clarify what I emboldened in red above from you. Tire Dealers are not by law required to register your tires. They are by law required to provide YOU (the buyer) with a form to register the tires that has the dealers information and tires DOT on them....in which the purchaser can then mail in or register online at most of the tire manufacturers websites, or this one:

Dealer Tire Registration | CIMS Tire Registration for Consumers and Dealers | Akron, OH

If a dealer doesn't provide the customer with the tire registration form, then they are legally obligated to register the tires for them.

I just wanted to clear up that confusion, so a member doesn't get in an argument somewhere on what the law is and isn't.

Yes you are correct with the clearer info. When I asked for the tire registration forms from my RV dealer when picking up my new Class-C All I got was a blank stare. So I made the effort to find the web site above where I could register my tires myself. I have been given the forms from a couple of tire dealers over the years so not all are clueless.

I recently bought GY Marathons for the TT and the tire dealer provided no paperwork to register them with. Are the serial numbers on the sidewall? I would like to register them.

Edit: As I don't trust the tire shop...

Yes the dot # are on the sidewall. The last 4 digits represent the week and year they were made

Putting LR-E on a vehicle that specified LR-G is definitely a recall worthy item.
I suggest you
Get a good, in focus picture of the label
Get a shot of a tire showing size and get the tire DOT serial numbers then file complaint with NHTSA. Even if they take care of you it would take action from NHTSA to order FR to recall all similar vehicles so they get inspected and fixed.
Others may be in same boat but not realize it and end up having to pay for damage to their RV if/when a tire fails.

Please do your fellow RVers a favor and file the complaints.

That is correct but the full serial number all 6 to 13 letters and number after the letters D O T
are needed by NHTSA

Matter of fact if you post the DOT S/N here i can tell you who and where the tires were made.

Good morning everyone I talked to Forest River on my tires this morning and they are not going to do anything even with the tire tag on Tire tag indicating 14 ply tires

Kenbob54 what was their reason for not correcting the tire issue?

You can register your Goodyear tires here if you choose.

You may have the required information on your sales receipt.
