Tire recommendations??

We had 2 tires blowout in one year on Cardinal. Does anyone have any recommendations for "better" tires than those that are factory installed? Our dealer said to find "some old tire guy" and ask him. Help would be appreciated because I'm tired of blowouts!

Maxxis tires have a good reputation.

Goodyear G114s on 17.5 wheels. It only took one blowout for me to do the upgrade.

To be able to give you any kind of accurate information people will have to know what GAWR values are printed on your Cardinal tire placard or certification label.

Maxxis or Goodyear, probably best ST tires available. Some folks using LTs. Tires are a hot topic on any RV forum. You can go stir crazy reading about what everyone recommends.

Go to radial tires and maintain the recommended inflation pressure. Found this out on my TT after replacing the non radial tires each season until my tire dealer called the supplier and found out why I was buying so many tires. Cannot stress enough the importance of maintaining the proper inflation. Issue was not the tire manufacturer, but lack of attention on my part.

Your location isn't mentioned, but if you have Les Schwab stores within reach, I'd recommend them. We have no connection with them except we're long-time customers (30 years or more, I think).

We were Class A owners and needed a new set of 6 19.5" tires for our 32' Georgetown when we bought it at 8 years old. We got Toyos, which are Schwab's top line. Very happy with them in the four years (5000 miles) we did before giving up the lifestyle.
