I have a 3250 Cardinal 5th wheel and wondering what is a good replacement tire? Have Goodyear 10 ply but thinking of 12 ply.

i don't know the details of what you have installed nor do i know the weight of your model. we have a large cardinal that has the goodyear G614 tires on it, which are 14 ply (i think) load range G tires. they have a max psi of 110. they require rims rated to 110 psi. a comparable tire is the sailun 637 (i think i have this model number correct) which are also load range G

My 2018 3825 came with Goodyear LT tires rated G. I was happy that it did!

The Sailun S637 tires have been getting more popular and getting good reviews the past few years. They are what came on my 2018 Cardinal. Given the year of your trailer, the rims should be the style that can handle the 110 PSI required by the G rated tire. Many of my Cardinal friends have been either running the Sailun tires or switching to them once their G614’s are ready to be replaced.

My 5th wheel is a 2018 Cardinal, driven about 3,000 miles, check tires pressure before leaving. They are Goodyear's Marathon tires while heading home from Montana a tire blew out on interstate. About $2,000 in damage and still need to replace two hydraulic lines. Talk to a couple tire shops they said it was common with Marathon tires. Got ride of them with commercial grade tires. So I will not buy any Good year tires anymore on anything. Called Goodyear's customer service, never heard from them.

The Goodyear marathon is a horrible trailer tire with many reported failures. It is unfortunate that Cardinal put those tires on so many of their trailers. They are now putting a G rated tire on made by Rainier and stopped using the Sailun tires. The G614 is a good tire and I ran a set on my Cardinal 3030 before getting our 3350 last May.

Westlake and Provider offer sustainability heavier 14PR upgrades for your rig. You'll notice the stiffer sidewalls and feel the 86 lbs of tire/wheel mounted weight if you install yourself. Highly recommend this G rated upgrade, you won't regret it.

We have switched to a G rated tire from Discount Tire, the Hartland 14 ply. It's a brand just made for Discount Tire and it's their answer to the G614, and a lot cheaper.

I have the west lake g rated tires that come with my rig from the factory put 2000 miles on them without a problem. Keeping an eye on air psi is critical for any make tire....
