2014 Shasta Flyte/Breeze 255RS. Rant.

Well, we bought a new 2014 Shasta Flyte 255RS (In Canada where we are, it's called a Breeze). We've been transferring contents from our old unit to this one over the past few weeks. So far, we really like it, although we have not actually camped yet, still winter here. Anyway, for a company (Shasta) that's been around since the 40's, I have to say, the lack of product documentation and support specific to the unit is lacking. And I mean lacking to point of being nonexistent. Yes, we had a PDI with the salesman, a brief one. I've had to ask him half a dozen additional questions since then. But, finding any information about this TT online has been such a frustrating experience. And to top it off, you pay such a large amount for a unit and find out it doesn't even come with an installed water filter. Seriously? Hopefully there's no problems when we're out camping. I researched Shasta before buying this and all the reviews were good. I just cannot get over the lack of unit information, how to's etc. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be racked over the coals and hung out to dry on this rant. Lol.

I find the lack of an "installed water filter" a good thing.

One of these.

Shop Culligan Whole House Complete Filtration System at Lowes.com

And one of these.

https://www.google.com/search?q=wate...leZrEECS634%3D

Two of these.
Camco TastePURE 10' Premium Drinking Water Hose, 5/8" ID - Walmart.com

Thanks, I do have an exterior one that connects between the hose and trailer. I'll simply have to use that. I just found the installed one we had in our previous unit handier. Lol.

I'm glad you got "everything" you needed for your unit,, but my question is how many things did you need on such a new unit? I think a lot of people are missing this point, If I drop 25 or 35K on a new unit, I shouldn't have to go back to the dealer right away. My revere was a complete piece of crap, from front to back, and my happiest day was when I got rid of it,, after just one season.

Depends on the question.

If it pertains to the subject of this thread or the model of this RV, then yes.

If it's a different subject or different brand or model, it's better to start your own thread.

I would start your own thread in the Shasta sub-forum.

Try taking the aerators off the faucets.
You should find construction debris trapped.

VERY common with new rigs.
