2nd A/C unit

I have a 2015 Shasta phoenix 30RL that is pre-wired for a second A/C unit.
What size unit would it take and is it ducted or non-ducted.

What components will I need to have a second one installed?

Thanks for your time.

A 13,500 unit will work. You can take down the trim on the inside of your front roof vent and see if the ducts are there but capped off. You will need an A/C unit. If ducted you will need a control unit, bolts and thermostat kit. If not ducted you will need a controller and ceiling control unit.

Dave,

Did you get a 2nd A/C unit installed? If so how hard was it and do you have pictures of the install?

I did get a second A/C installed. Had my local RV place do it for me. All the wiring was there and the roof was already framed for the A/C. No dual thermostat just local control of unit. They put in a 13500btu and when all was said and done it cost right around $1000. Well worth it in my opinion. Now the bedroom is nice and cool.

Which AC did they install? Mach? Dometic? And your unit didnt have the dual zone controller on the wall? I was told by Shasta, if the camper has the dual wall unit, then the wiring is there to tie in the 2nd AC to that t-stat.
