32RE Pin Weight

I'm looking at moving up to a 5er and have been looking hard at hitch pin weights. Shasta states about 1400 pin weight. Most other manufacturers show weights around 1900 to 2100. What does Shasta eliminate to reduce weight so drastically?

There are several manufacturers that now have ultra or super light models that have pin weights below 1500 pounds. I believe flagstaff has 3 or 4 models in that range

True, but they all seem to have the bed facing forward not facing sideways head into the slide out.
