Awning light strip - hard wiring question

Any Shasta owners out there have any experience in installing and hard wiring LED light strips into your unit?

Shasta Oasis 18BH owner. We have a 12' awning with a porch light and an electrical outlet outside, but wondering what the best option would be to hard wire lights in?
