Factory Order

Does anyone know what kind of production times Shasta is delivering? Dealer is quoting six weeks.

6-8 weeks is a pretty standard dealer answer. Besides production time you also have to factor delivery time to your dealer. Hope your wait time goes quickly.

Usually 6-8 weeks but it will also depend on when your model is being run next. If they just ran your model line then all the other models will be in line first in rotation. But if your model has not been run then it could be sooner in line. Ex. if you ordered a 123 abc then it will be produced the next time 123 abc's are built.

Then you are at the transport company's mercy after your trailer is ran. But as mentioned 6-8 weeks is average.

I'd say 6 weeks is the best case scenario, but realistically I'd expect 8-10 weeks. When we had our 25BH, we ordered it the last week in January 2015 and it was ready the first week of April.

So at 10 weeks, dealer said 3 more. I'm very tempted to go shopping for something on a lot elsewhere. They claim Shasta had more units ordered than normal and don't want to sacrifice quality to push more units thru. Sounds like a crock to me!

X'2 I just got back from the factory, the part of being at the mercy of the transport driver is correct. Not saying all are bad when I stayed a night in Goshen at the comfort inn. I talked to alot of drivers that do that. I also seen one that a driver unhooked from. I took a picture of how he parked it at a angle that nobody who owns a trailer would do. It had to be atleast at a 20 degree angle with the right side on the street and the left side atleast 10" lower on the left in the grass. I don't even know how he could have unhooked from it at that angle. One guy was honest, he said he never checks tire pressure or stops to tighten lug nuts. I think he said he gets $1.20 per mile to delv. He said that either he has to wait for a unit going back but mostly will just dead head back, which is then on his dime. I have never seen so many signs for help asking for drivers they are all over Goshen. Said you need a CDL licence and either a 3/4 or 1 ton truck is required.....

Glad you got your unit.

Mine was three weeks delivery from the factory, and the transport driver was one who often delivers to my dealer's site. Had no issues in the transport.

Two trips and here's my review!

After the shake down trip, I had a few issues that I took it back to the dealer:
bad caulking on shower door
toilet bubbles
fridge is inconsistent
a couple minor things
I was thrilled the dealer was done a week earlier than I expected. Note: they claim nothing wrong with fridge and toilet minor bubbling is normal.

We leave for our week in the Blue Ridge mountains and things get interesting. Fridge won't stay operational on gas while traveling. When we get to our destination (8 hr trip) fridge is 58 deg and "LP" flashing. We put back on electric and starts to cool down.

The first night as we get ready to go to bed, the toilet backs up. Nothing I do will budge the clog. The next morning, I unhook everything and tow it to an RV repair shop a couple miles away. Within an hour they have unclogged it, cut the drain pipe in the basement and removed the excess pipe they left too long in the black tank. Works great now.

Just for laughs, I try running the fridge on gas one day while we were there. I worked fine, but on the return trip, same thing, flashes LP.

So it's at CW (10 min from home vs 1.5 hrs to the dealer) to look at the fridge again. Also, BT flush isn't working.

So given the start up problems, here's my feed back on the satisfaction of the camper:
Positives:
I love the floor plan.
I love the comfort of the Lazy Boy furniture
LED lights inside and out
Disappointments
I'm a little disappointed that there is not king bed option
There are no options for ceiling fans
Why is there no water filter?
The dvd hooks to the LED TV via coax cable - really? The stereo has Bluetooth, but no HDMI -
The HWH bypass is behind an access panel in the basement - that's inconvenient! Aren't most on the control panel these days?
The awning seems terribly small - we had 20' on the old camper and 15' on this one. Not only is the length lacking, but it doesn't see as wide either.

Overall, I think after we get the kinks worked out, we will love it, but Shasta could have easily put it over the top!
