First camping trip 2012

Champlain provincial park near Mattawa Ontario
Forecast for next 5 days: a little bot of rain, lots of rain and sun.
So far so good, had a little leak at the pump at home but seems to be ok now, prepared, I've got some rescue type tape to fix.
Also, a bit of a leak at the hot water tank
Plug.... Did not bring a rachet to tighten up more... Oh well
Total fire ban so watching chick flix on 32 inch LCD TV off the Apple TV 1 I put in . Hardly any TV reception here and no wifi

And there may not be any wifi but there
The 3G reception is great

We share the whole campground with the park ranger and the bears :O

Nice, I'm trying to go local just to get out, once my sons baseball season is over, it's camping time.

Enjoy. Our first trip is at the end of June. I haven't de-winterized the trailer yet, I hope to bring it home in the next couple of weeks. I always look forward to the first trip of the year, OK every trip of the year.

Being alone it good I think. Our last trip last year we were one of about 6 at a GC with 100 some spots. Nice.

Our first trip of the season is next weekend after kids are done with school. Have to dewinterize (next friday) and fight with the water heater - hopefully the tips I picked up here on how to get that blasted plug in will be useful. I also get to find out out successful was my winterizing.

We had a small leak from the hot water heater plug. We asked at the office for a ratchet (forgot that) and they sent us a truck an a man with a tool box. He had it fixed in a jiffy

last year our TT was new and came winterized so I had to put the anode/plug in...I played with it for over 1/2 hour.
I also learned that you MUST have a grounded cord if you plug in TT..or when you play with the water heater you'll get 'tingled' now and again. Of course it was the next day when I actually put that together...

If you have a problem with the door hitting the awning arm,we just took a noodle you would use in the pool and cut it to slip over the awning arm so the door couldn't beat it up.
