Issues with recliners moving while traveling, now have tears in the leather, any idea

We have a shasta phoenix fifth wheel and have had many issues, the latest is the recliners move all over while traveling and now the leather has holes in both. Forest river is going to stand behind this but any ideas how to avoid this. Not sure why they are not strapped down like the table. Do they make covers for these? Anyone else have any issue like this?

In my Rockwood Signature, they are strapped down to the floor back to back, never had a problem.

My unit has "D rings" attached to the lower window trim. My 2 recliners are strapped in that way. We push the front of the recliners against the wall so as not to mess up the window treatments (curtains).

We thought they should be strapped down and we may do it ourselves, just can't believe the manufacturer didn't think of it. Thanks for your ideas

I'm sure the manufacturer did, it just might have been the worker on the day your unit was built that didn't think of it...

We turn our recliners back-to-back and put a strap around the two of them. Since they are lashed together, they don't move. We also put a blanket between the two chairs where they would rub together. We have had the chairs over 2 years and they show no wear at all.

Hope this helps,
Mike
