Went from a old 97 Jayco 261RLS 5th to this new one. We were looking at Grand Design but could not justify the extra 10k! I noticed there are not many positive or negative reviews of Shasta. Hopefully that's a good thing. One thing I completely overlooked was the 12 volt only main fridge. It is 10 cu ft. Anyone have any experience with this fridge?
Did you know that they are made by Coachmen? The Coachmen Chaparral and the Phoenix is made in the exact same plant. In fact when we bought our new Phoenix about a month ago the worksheet on top says Coachman.

They won’t get rid of the Shasta name since Forest River revived them, but not many dealers out there for them however their Revere and Phoenix models seem to sell decently with fewer dealers.
We had a 2012 Revere rear living when we started and it was made I think better then some of the current campers however not much of a dealer network for support.
If you have issue contact Shasta directly they were great in helping us.
Yes, we were a little concerned since there didn't seem to be many Phoenix dealers out there. Well what we could find. Overall the trailer had a few minor items I have taken care of myself. I'll probably just deal with any issues myself unless catastrophic. We have contacted Shasta a couple times and they were quick to respond with helpful information. I'd rather do the repairs myself instead of taking it to a shop anyway.
