could pull the radio out and check to see if it is a loose connection or verify it is the speaker or radio by swapping the speaker connections from one output to the other

Yep, ours did not work Either. Pulled stereo, and neither one of them were hooked up. Also we installed a cd and the unit "Ate" it. (So to speak). Noticed a sticker about removing screw before installing. Pulled out screw and all is well in the world

Did it ever work?Ours was having an issue with the same speaker, except sometimes it would work and sometimes not.Having past history of breaking electronics when I try to fix them,I opened the upper cupboard door that was in front of where the speaker is located in relation to the inside, and hit the wall with the palm of my hand and it has been working fine ever since. My wife says it is the only thing I have ever been able to fix like that in my life and I did it without even taking it apart.

boubou - what radio do you have?

Malco - you just masked the problem by beating it into submission

Touch Audio
I found the manual online including a diagram of the speaker wiring
http://manuals.heartlandowners.org/E...2010-09-08.pdf

How do I pull the unit out?

Also, I cannot see the back of the speaker in the cupboard, I'll start with the touch audio unit and see if a wire is loose. If not, then I'll get it looked when I go in for warranty work (small leak in water pump at the connection between water pump and hose, let them fix it )

I checked all speaker wires as per diagram, they are all connected firmly and the right colours at the right terminal.
Next check, speaker itself but when Imlooked at the screws easy access but it's caulked. i don't want to have to re-caulked. I know, I am intimidated my the caulking gun lol
i think I'll let the RV shop fix it under warranty.

boubou, I had the same problem. It started with one outside speaker then both intermittently. Took the camper in for warranty work and the issue would not repeat for them. At exactly one year after purchase (warranty up) the radio would not respond to any "touch" screen prompts even after removing the radio and disconnecting power and resetting. Ultimately, I ended up going on ebay and purchasing a refurbished Jensen and installed. The install did require some mounting modifications but the unit is very reliable now and sounds 10X better!
