Protecting my cargo door

I have a new 298RLS and my drivers side cargo door swings all the way forward when opening, striking the two latches for my propane tank bay. Not going to be long before the cargo door gets dented/damaged. Thought about using a foam noodle like I did not get slide out corners. Ideas for protecting the door? Anybody already experienced this? Thanks!

Here's what I did... Double duty. Keeps the door from hitting and holds the door open in the wind. Click image for larger version

I opted for the Hatchlift kit. Its a bit more expensive, but doesnt allow the door to swing all the way open. I am waiting for warmer weather to install mine, we did have a blizzard here in central IL yesterday....

I did what Beerbuggy did but instead of mounting the one piece with the rod on the camper wall I mounted it on the propane door, you can get the ones with the bumper on it as well. If you go this route make sure you get some good sealer to seal around the mounts.
