television cabinet

Hello. We have a 2016 Shasta Oasis 25rs and I can't find the spot to place the television mount. I did the "knock on paneling" procedure and an electronic stud finder with no luck. I sent Forest River/Shasta division an e mail received no response. Advise please.

My trailer was not the same model as yours but the backer was on the wall marked for the entertainment center. I don't recall if it went all the way to the ceiling but was wider than a stud. Click image for larger version

Thanks for your help. I know there must be a support in that cabinet for a television but it sure feels hollow. I will e mail Forest River again to ask. Thanks

I have the Flyte version of your trailer. I believe there is a sheet of plywood that is used for the backer (not studs). I mounted a 28" tv and just finished a 1900 mile trip...it held up fine and we hit some pretty big bumps in some construction areas.

hello and thanks for the tip on mounting the tv. By the way I looked at the Flyte and liked it a bunch but we didn't have what i considered a reliable dealer in our area so I went with the Oasis 25rs. So far so good.

I installed a sheet of plywood on top of the tv wall backer with 6 wood screws but I made a tv mount that can swing out above the dinette (24" swing or more). This enables viewing the screen from the jackknife seat. I used 1" square aluminum channel that folds in half on a pivot point. Can up load pics in your interested...

Sorry it took so long but here are a few shot...

The TV mount kit was a Rocket Fish brand similar to what they sell at retailers like Walmart. I added the 1" square aluminum stock in between the wall mount and TV mount to increase the mobility. I also added a piece of 3/4" plywood (its just what i had laying around, 1/2" may do fine?) to increase the stability of the wall mount for the added weight of the long reach mount and TV. lastly I added Nylon straps and clips to keep everything secure while traveling, I found this at a crafts store like JoAnn Fabrics.

Hope its inspiring, I like this much more than any other option I found out there...
