Hello Have a 2016 Shasta Oasis 25rs. Q: how to get air conditioning which is mid trailer to cool the bedroom? Or how to cool the bedroom? Advise please. Thanks

In our last travel trailer we used to have to put a fan in the doorway to suck the air in from main part of the camper and blow into the bunkhouse. That room always stayed hot in the summer. Short of having 2 a/c's not sure what else you could do.

Other than a fan on wall in bedroom pushing hot air around no other way to get air conditionrr to cooperate i guess

Do you have a ducted air conditioning system in that unit? If so, is cool air exiting the vents? My Cherokee wouldn't cool the master bedroom in the front so I took the vent apart and found that they missed the duct by about 2 inches. I pulled it over as far as I could and trimmed the hole so the duct opening was in the proper place. It cools great now; that is when the Dometic unit hasn't failed. On unit #4 now....

Unfortunately No ducted air conditioning on this trailer. I knew this going in so I'm living with the decision. I am sure there are others who have this problem so I am seeking options.

Unfortunately the bunk portion of my camper, particularly the lower bunk doesn't get much air flow. I purchased a clip on 120V fan for my son to use. We clip it to the rail of the top bunk and it blows cool air in there. My next project will be insulating under his bunk as it is a storage area and allows heat to seep in. My suggestion would be to try and locate fans that maybe you could mount, or see if one of those portable air conditioners would work. My air has failed 4 times(Dometic) and once it was just before a trip. I rigged a portable unit's output to the stove vent and tested with that. Worked OK but my dealer was able to get a replacement right before I left. I've thought about fixing a exhaust outlet for the portable unit through the rear storage compartment just in case. Portable unit cost me about $420 and its on wheels.

We maiden voyaged a few days ago in the Utah heat which is actually mild right now we could slightly feel the air conditioning coming into bedroom so maybe a box fan by entrance would push air in a bit.

I can tell you this, last weekend in the South Louisiana heat, even a box fan couldn't bring the temp down below about 78 during the day. This new refrigerant we are forced to go to does not cool anywhere near as good as R12 or R22. Going to be at crater of diamonds in Arkansas next month so I'm looking at insulating the bare walls in the storage compartments under the front bed and back bunk.

i believe insulating those areas is a great idea. Might try it myself. What kind if insulating material can be used?

I'm just going to get some 3/4" foam board from Lowe's or Home Depot. Then cover with luan. It's amazing how the storage areas are not insulated and how much cool air leaks out. I'm also looking at putting a seal of some sort around the bed over the front storage. I know it is not a tight fit so I'm leaking there. I really don't like that I'm losing cool air out of the those areas. I'll take pics when done. Truck is down right now ( front trans. seal) so maybe next weekend.

Well it's done. Home Depot had almost no foam board and none in the thickness I wanted. Had to settle for the reflective bubble roll which actually worked out pretty well. I also opted for the masonite board used for cabinets. Cheaper than Luan and won't delaminate. It also has a smooth side so that makes the install look better. Here are some of the pics.
