Travelling with TV in the RV.

We just picked up our new 26RL Oasis. In prep for grandchildren and rainy days I'm putting a TV. There is a spot for it but my question is can I travel with it on the wall or should a person take it down? This is the first time for a TV in our trailer so any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have a spot on the wall marked for a TV and you stay under the rating (I've seen both pounds and size in inches) then yes, it can travel there.

Thanks for the info. There is a spot marked on the wall but I didn't look closely to see if there is a spec included

No indication of weight or size indicated so I will see what the dealer recommends.

Size and weight limit would depend on the wall mount you use.

In both the RVs we've owned (a bumper pull and now a 5th wheel) we simply lift the TV out of the mounting bracket and store it on the bed, face down.

Better safe than sorry.

(our mounting brackets were/are the swivel out arm type)

Ours is attached to a swing arm bracket and has been there since new. When pushed all the way in, it locks into place. No issues at all with leaving it there while traveling.

You have been very helpful. I appreciate your advice. We will have out grandchildren for two weeks in July and this will definitely help with those rain days.

TV can be a nice distraction on rainy days. Our TT came with mounts. One TV has mounts and a strap on either side of the TV to keep it secure.

They Velcro around it. I would think you could find something at camping world or somewhere similar.

For our bunkhouse room we bought a TV with built in DVD player. It lays face down on the bed when travelling.

I have a 32" with a built in DVD that I thought would work well for the trailer. The info on it says it weighs 19.5 lbs so not too heavy. I like the strap idea. My wife and I are hoping to test run the new unit this weekend coming.

Grandson watched a movie on the trailer last night. I asked him what he thought of the TV. He said "cool". I guess that would be the seal of approval from a 3 yr old.

I installed 2 straps with adjustable connectors on the wall behind the TV. While traveling I run one over the top and one under the bottom of the TV and connect in the middle snug against the wall. Never had a problem

I'm like Weezer, I lift them off the mounts for travel and put them on the bed face down. The trailer has A LOT of bounce going down the road.
