My 124 has a cassette toilet as well as an inside shower though I have not used either. I consider those as emergency backups but use campground facilities as a rule.

They are cassette-type in those models, and like RichardEB stated, we only consider ours as an extreme emergency option (either that or it's a disposable toilet!) I mean, perhaps others have a higher tolerance for that sort of thing, but if I'm camping in a remote enough place that there is not even a vault, I'll dig a cat hole

We have an A126, with the cassette toilet. We use ours every trip, just more convenient than making the walk at night.

The cassette has gotten us through the typical weekend stay with no issues.

Emptying it is easy. Remove the cassette (waste tank) and roll it to the bath house and empty in a toilet. The tank has wheels.

Clean up after a trip includes emptying before going home. Then filling and rinsing twice after getting home. Easy.

We have a122bh with cassette we use disposable bags that fit on the commode. Use campground facility during the day and disposable bags at night for my wife. I use a disposable bag for guys. No clean up no dumping

Guess I'm a little late to the conversation but I have the 124 with cassette toilet & shower. Use them every trip & love it. Easy to empty. Just roll it to the restroom.
Of course, I had a pop-up for years & used a porta potty without any problems. Beats getting up & going to facilities in the middle of the night.
