12V Electric Dolly

After many times fighting to get my camper in and out of our backyard, I decided this was the best way to go. I always had to find a neighbour or my wife to give a guiding hand to get it thru our 30' long garage to the backyard. The garage has a door at each end and the back one is a foot narrower. I only have about 3" on each side and if the camper got out of control, on the grade, it would be disaster on the side(s). To get it out from the back yard I was using a 12V winch attached to my SUV at the front door, as it was difficult to push it thru manually. On one attempt the tow strap did come apart at the hook end and this was an unused strap, poor quality. I didn't want to trade in my wife for a much stronger one. This should solve my problem.

That is really cool Don. What a great device.
I have trouble maneuvering my trailer in my driveway with my tow vehicle. I just can't see around or over the trailer. I use my Kubota tractor with a hitch on the back which gives me much better visibility. I guess us old guys need all the help we can get!

How much tongue weight and gross weight will it handle? Would it work on a compacted gravel drive?

no way it's going in gravel or dirt with those small swivel wheels

Here's one that I purchased. It'll hold 1800 lb tongue weight. Powercaster PC-3 power dolly

It's rated at 550lb tongue weight and 5,000lb pulling on the level. As mentioned by Dave above, you would likely have problems with the small castors on a gravel drive.

Guys,

I am using Travel Valet https://www.trailervalet.com/ to park my FlagStaff T12RBST in garage for last 3 months. It is really great product and works perfect.

Thanks,
Paresh
