2 Questions on Rockwood Hard Side

We purchased a 2016 Rockwood A128S this year. This model has 2 dinettes instead of a bed and dinette.

Question #1 - All Hard Side Units

When a support on the 'booth' dinette bed broke on our second trip out, we needed to sleep on the smaller dinette bed. At this point, we noticed a small silver L-bracket in the corner of both sides of the dinette - attached to one side and the back of the camper. Anyone else have these brackets on their unit???

These make me think that there is a problem with the unit as these are only on the small dinette walls, not the larger dinette walls. If not a problem, it seems like FR would be able to use something better and more attractive than these cheap brackets.

Question #2 - Specific to units with 2 dinettes.

Has anybody figured out a good way to use the large 'booth' dinette as a bed? I love the look of the back cushion when in the dinette mode but as a bed, it is terrible.

Thanks

Not sure what your asking but I have the U shape dinette or booth dinette as you called it and the backboard folds down so entire area is flat and then back cushion fills the gap to create a full bed. Is it the cushions you do not like or did you want to make it a full time bed with mattress? You could put a topper on the cushions as others have done or use a foldable futon mattress. I use it with the cushions and a mattress pad on top of that. Is it the curve in the back cushion you don't like when laid flat or is it just the overall comfort level of the cushions it comes with?

I have those little silver angle brackets. They do look cheap. But remember many parts of these campers are built cheap.
Don't let that stop you from having a good time because these aframes are the best thing since sliced bread.

Thanks for the great information. It is the curves in the back cushion that is the problem. Difficult to sleep and make bed. We did find that we needed the extra topper the first night so we have already taken care of this part.
