2015 Flagstaff T12RBST home!

Just picked up my Brand New 2015 Forest River Flagstaff T12RBST. The unit looks fantastic and the build quality seems good. My TV is a 2015 Toyota Tacoma Off Road Edition with the tow package which can handle 6,500 lbs. With the two hour drive home up hill the entire time my TV had no problem maintaing 65mph. I was very impressed there was no trailer sway when being passed by Semi Trucks of all kinds.

The wife has already started packing the unit and we are impressed by all the storage. The only item we have added so far is a plastic three drawer unit from walmart we will put on top of the microwave. During travel we just place it on the floor.

During the PDI our technician told us the fridge was only LP. For those who purchase a new unit these ARE a 3 way fridge AC/DC/LP. There are two grates on the side of the camper which house the controls. The technician only opened the lower grate which had the LP controls. Upon coming home I opened the top and found the AC/DC controls.

First camping trip is this weekend in T-minus 6 hours! I can't wait, and I know my lab Cloe can't either.

The wife and I are already taking bets on how many questions we get regarding the A-Frame from fellow campers!

Regarding the fridge, the same thing happened to me on my PDI. I told him that I was pretty sure that the unit was three-way. I "encouraged" him to open the upper grill where we saw the switches.

Congrats!

As far as I know, they all have 3-way fridges. Check yours: Open outside bottom grill and look for the propane controls. Open the grill above that and you should see two electrical switches in there next to each other, one for AC and one for DC.

Congratulations on your new camper. If you're excited as much as I am with our new one, I know you'll love it.

First camping trip was great. The campground was nearly empty, only five sites filled in the entire loop! Did run into some issues with the new aframe though. First issue was after setting up camp the interior lights and fantastic fan did not work. After checking all the fuses and CB, I found there is a "switch" under the front fabric by the hinge that connects the wires. This switch is supposed to "pop out" when the unit is open so your lights and fan turn off if you forget to turn them off when lowering the camper. After fiddling with the switch everything started to work again.

Second problem is I ended up breaking the front bubble window blind. The bottom plate thing that screws down just popped right out all except for one screw. I think the string is way to tight so I have to fix that.

All in all a good first trip.

Glad you had a good first trip.

I agree about the blinds being fragile. One of my kids (now college age) is know for misunderstanding how things work and was politely instructed not to touch the blinds.

Nice camper!! You may want to look at adding this to your camping gear. It comes in handy for both bath and shower use and is super easy to set up.

No THANKS! At this point in my life I want nothing to do with a toilet or cleaning one during R&R.
