looks great, I am waiting to see one up close. I have the A122 and hope when you get yours home you can give me some details about tire size and how much lift they needed to make them fit. Hope you enjoy the new rig.

Hopefully I have time to pick it up next week, I am in the middle of renovating my house so things are a little crazy right now.

When I get it home I will take a look and let you know. If I forget and you see me post up some "At Home" pictures, just send me a reminder.

Love the black and tan! They all should come with 15" wheels, better proportions! The only thing I'm not sure of is the lack of bubble windows, I wonder what was the reason? Are they an option?

I special ordered the camper with no roof windows, I`m sure it`s not for everyone but thats how I wanted the camper configured. It was nice that they custom built the camper the way I wanted.

I pasted a few post about the windows from other threads;

I have owned my A122 for about 3 years and have been very happy with the camper, but the bubble window developed cracks shortly after delivery, which resulted in the window being replaced and 3 M taped.
My window has been trouble free since the fix, but I have seen numerous threads about this issues.
The bubble window also has to be re-caulked on a regular basis, which is just another maintenance item to address . I see no purpose to the windows except as a potential leak or repair issue. The side windows allow plenty of light into the camper and I always have the shade pulled down so there really is no extra room created by the raised bubble window and I have never stuck my head into the recessed area. I do not spend a lot of time in the camper during daylight hours and mainly use it has a dry and safe place to sleep or watch an occasional movie. I have never used the dinette table, it stays down as a bed.

I would love to see FR offer the option of no roof windows, which would significantly reduce the amount of leak, repair and maintenance issues.
I am special ordering the camper with no bubble windows on the roof panels, just the roof vent/fan.

I just have no use or need for the roof windows and I know this after 3.5 years of camping in my A122.

It's cool that you were able to order it how you wanted it. I personally like the bubble windows, but I'm a bit claustrophobic. That ability to have a view to outside on all four sides is important enough to me to risk bubble window issues. To each their own, and I'm glad you're getting what you want.

Today was a long day, but my new camper is home. The walk thru went very smooth and the only issue was to add a small amount of RTV to the vent fan. The only difference I experienced was while towing , the view out back is partially restricted because the camper sits higher, it was actually no big deal just something I noticed. The build quality has definitely gone up, from caulking to carpentry work you can see the improvement. The only change that I don`t care for is the power cord attachment and storage, the new one is loose and has to be plugged in on both ends, I prefer the old one that is permanently connected to the camper and is stored inside the camper through a small port. That's it so far, I basically just pulled it in the driveway and put a quick coat of wax on it. I am hoping to have everything together by the weekend.

It's always nice to get it just the way you want. I wish I'd thought to ask about leaving off the bubble windows. At least the rear one, which in not needed with the fixed bed.

Nice looking. I love the extra ground clearance and the bubble window removal.

The front roof panel is begging for a big solar panel.

Just got back from my first trip and no problems or issues to report. The SXR tows so much better than my old A122, I guess this is due to the extra length and better tires. The extra storage is really nice, I basically just need to pack food and drinks.

I know this is an older thread.. but just wondering how your camper is doing? Still happy? I love the idea of no bubble windows. I bought my 2014 a122s, used.. so didn't have the option of asking for no windows.

I agree.. for me the bubble windows serve no real purpose.. wish I didn't have them. But.. I bought a role of ETERNABOND.. gonna try and avoid future leaks.

I was able to get a lot of trips in and spent enough time in the camper to confirm that the bubble windows are more trouble than they are worth. My camper has been pretty much trouble free and the build quality was way better than my 2012 A122. I really have piece of mind knowing that I won`t have any issues with leaks. The camper still has the open bright feel to it even without the bubble windows.

I hope this helps!

Greetings Mike G. I'm thinking of getting a SXR and was wondering how you are liking the more ground clearance? Does it make a difference? Are there any other features for off-road adventure such as better suspension or better structural elements?
I used to have a 2014 A122 so I do have a point of comparison.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I wonder if you could put a kayak rack on the roof since there are no windows? Did the dealer say anything about that? Love your camper, look forward to some fall pictures.

I`m not sure what the dealer would say about a roof rack, but I would not recommend it. My Coleman pop-up had a rack on it, but the roof designs are totally different. I just bought a new tow vehicle so I hope I can get it setup for towing before winter sets in.
