A/C unit

This weekend I'm going to the beach. Where I'm camping they said it will be about 40 feet from electric. Do you think it will be ok to run the a/c hooked to a extension cord?

Depends on the ext cord.
I'd say I'd use nothing less then what your camper cord size is.
Which is 10 ga.

What gauge cord? If you have a 10 Ga 30 amp RV extension and the voltage at the plug is good, I say go for it. Anything of lesser design needs to be checked closely.
