As far as getting cold, I will say that the furnace in the trailer is unreliable. We had it replaced under warranty before we left, and it still does not cycle properly. The dealer said they had replaced a lot of them. Our Big Buddy Heater, however, keeps the trailer at a nice 55-60 degrees almost all night long despite temps near 20°F!!

I am picking up my a122 tomorrow in Mass., (so excited), and will be doing the florida trip next week, then maine in the early spring............so, sub-freezing temps are possible on the trip down and back from florida, and definitely in Maine......
I have a small , portable , electric heater that i will bring, in case the camper heater doesn't hack it......i guess.............but, was wondering, do u put water in your water tank?, and/or use your water heater?
I am thinking you'd have to keep your water storage in jugs, right ?

Congrats on your new trailer! I know you will love it!

In prepping for this trip, I had the dealer blow out all the water from the lines and drain the hot water tank. Didn't want to risk anything freezing at all, since we don't have hook ups where we are. We just brought water with us. Our Buddy Heater has been doing a great job of keeping is toasty at night!

A Buddy Heater is a propane heater designed for indoor spaces. Most outdoor places carry them. I purchased a reconditioned one from Cabelas and its working great. Mr. Heater is the brand and they come in a few different sizes.

Our flat screen tv is 19 in.. It just fit in the space we wanted to use. We removed the net holder and put it on the other side and it works just fine there. At this point with only getting to camp 6 plus times a year, we have not wanted to invest in a dish but my mom and dad did when they we full time campers, and said it worked pretty good. We have a DVD player and we are watching videos that we rent before we leave. We also have a library of ones we re-watch.
Our trip to Kartchner caverns had to be canceled due to freezing weather... Not normal for southern Arizona. As we were re-packing the camper my husband noticed that the furnace was not working. So the camper went in to the shop for a "tune-up". $80 and a week later the camper is back home and ready to go as soon as it warms up.
Next time we are out I will get better photos of out tv.

Thanks Cathy, I think I will get a 19" or 22" from walmart, start off with rabbit ears for the trip down , and if needed, i can always do the DishNetwork/Weekender, no contract, pay as you go, deal.

Gonna pick up my a122 tomorrow....its supposed to snow a bit here overnight, 1-5 inches, yuck, if I can't get it tomorrow, looks like tuesday, because of the holiday weekend ;/

Oh, btw, i need to know what size ball for the hitch for the a122 is ? Anyone know , offhand, I am guessing its 2" ?

Not long after we bough our Rockwood A128S my husband and I did a "stay in your own state" tour. We started in from our home in North Idaho and traveled down to Southern Idaho do a big loop. We put a lot of miles in during that seven days and enjoyed the heck out of it. I thought I would add a few photos because I'm like you guys. I'm ready to go camping!

Just got home and unpacked from Yosemite. Such a great trip, and the trailer pulled like a champ up and down the mountains, a.s well as over icy roads. Plus, gave us a great place to come back to after a long day of hiking...and a possible stop at the Lodge for a "beverage" or two!

beautiful pics! I am curious, what is your tow vehicle.....i have a v6 tacoma 2012, 4x4, and i am curious how well it will do on hills going the inland round (rt. 81) from mass to florida next week.

We have a 2007 Toyota 4-Runner/V-6 2WD. The trailer handled great up and down. I make sure and use the lower gears when needed. Not sure if there's a difference in towing capacity between the two models. If it were me, on a trip as long as yours, I would consider an easy lift hitch just to make things more stable and distributed.

I got the Voyager electric break controller installed and the truck can tow up to 6500 lbs, so the truck is capable for sure, just wondering about air bags or a sway bar........whats an "easy lift hitch"?

Sounds like your Truck is more than capable! An Easy Lift is the brand name of sway bars...a throw back to 20 years ago when I was pulling horse trailers and just always called them that.
