A Frame Screen Room/Awning For Sale

We have an A Frame Screen Room/Awning for sale. It has only been set up twice (once to set it up in our driveway and once on a camping trip. We just don't seem to use it very often and so we're willing to sell it.

We bought it new from the dealer when we purchased our Rockford A128S camper for over $600.00. It is quite nice and adds a lot of extended room to the camper. It can be used as an awning without sides or a screen room and can also be buttoned up with side panels for shade or to keep the rain out.

We'll sell it for $250.00 plus what ever shipping charges apply to your location.

Two things to consider:
1. Since the screen room/awning is attached to the camper with Velcro, you'll have to purchase your own Velcro for your camper.

2. I accidently caught the top (roof portion) of the awning and put a small tear in it (about 1/2"). I remedied that by securing with a little duct tape on both sides of the tear. It holds perfectly and can hardly be noticed.

I'm attaching several pictures for you to review.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good questions.

I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I can have shipped from a shipping company of your choice. The shipping company would have to put the storage bag that holds the awning/screen into a shipping box.

I just weighed it twice on my digital bathroom scale.

If correct, the total weight (including the carry/storage bag, tent/awning/screen, poles and tent stakes showed 20.8 lbs.

Also as an FYI, the dimensions for the whole storage bag when full is approx. as follows:

L - 56"
H - 8"
W - 11"

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Terry

We also have an A 128s, it's been great and we have questions about your screen room. In the photos it looks like you provide a floor if desired. My question is is there something that fastens the sides to the ground so that a small animal (house cat) would be unable to get out? Also, who is the manufacturer? How quickly does it go together, just an general estimate? I kind of wonder what S & H would be to the Tampa Bay area of Florida, any idea? Thanks in advance!

Hello Deebie47,

Just got back from walking the dog and saw your reply.

The floor you see is an indoor/outdoor camping rug we purchased at Walmart. It is not part of the screen/awning room.

Sorry but since there is not a real attached floor to this room, I don't think your cat would have much of a problem finding a way out. We have two small dogs. They stayed in but somehow I think a cat would more than likely find a way out!

The manufacturer name on the tent is Dometic. The same manufacturer as all the internal appliances for the camper.

Regarding set-up. The first time in the driveway it took about 30 minutes to set up. The second time it took me less than 15 minutes. Much faster after you know what to do.

Not sure what shipping would be to Florida but at 20 lbs., I don't think it could be too much.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Terry

Hello Hankfly,

Sorry, I just committed to selling the awning screen room to another person. If for some reason this would fall through, I'll reach back out to you.

Best regards,

Terry

Hankfly - wanted to provide update on the awning/screen room. It has officially been sold. Thanks for your interest and hope you find what you are looking for. The awing/screen room for the camper does seem like a very nice product.

Hello,
I am having trouble setting mine up. Dometic a-Frame Awing & Screen Porch. In the manual (page 5 instruction #14) it says there are ball sockets sewn to the awning, make sure they are pulled to the outside. This is where the side roof poles, ball ends are supposed to attach to. I don't have anything sewn to the awning for those. There is one sewn in at the apex, top of the awning for the sectioned central roof pole.
I called Dometic, but got sent to Forest River, who sent me back to Dometic. Just a run around. I would appreciate any assistance.

That is an awesome set up. If I may ask did you stay with the dealer installed Velcro or did you devise an alternative method for attachment?

awing

I have not been able to get my set up yet. My awning seems to be missing the sewn into the awing itself, the ball socket receivers that the roof poles connect to on the camper side.

Not sure if the velcro will last or not. Can't get it set up. I am stuck. Need some advice on if I am trying to do it correctly. I have the manual, but I do not have the ball socket receivers sewn into the fabric, that the manual has a picture of.
I am baffled.
