We are waiting for three new roof windows to be sent from Forest River. After a year of unsolved leaks, our dealer discovered that each window had failed on at least one corner and ordered new windows under our warranty. Once the windows are installed, we will ask that 3M Extreme tape be put around all windows. I understand this is standard procedure for a-frames sold in Canada.

Our brand new Rockwood A192HW had a failure on the large bubble window as soon as we set it up for the first time after getting it home! It was a defect and the dealer replaced the window but sealed around the edge with messy white Dicor caulking on a tan fiberglass exterior. It has not leaked but it looks like someone squirted shaving cream around the window. Very disappointing on a brand new camper. As my husband said, "the bloom is off the rose" .

We had the same experience with a very messy caulking job from dealer. Now that we are getting 3 new windows the camper should look good again. We have a 2014 A122S that was still being made in the white. I thought I would have liked the tan color, but 3M does not make black tape. I think we will tape our windows after the new windows are installed.

My 2014 leaked badly from the large bubble window over the bed and both of the smaller bubble windows over the table area.
Am contacting dealer shortly.

by account so far it seems that a lot of forest river aframes LEAK/we should not have to repair leaks crawl in closed aframes looking for factory leaks/it seems bubble windows seem to be major leak areas/ do regular pop ups have this many leaks?should we have have tarps over our units?should the 2014 units not have less leaks ?most vehicles improve QC afer a few years? keep the post coming/////

regular popups will leak, if they are not looked after. Regular caulking maintenance is a requirement for the roofs of these trailers ... and maintenance of the lift systems also. the reason i purchased my Aframe was to get away from inferior lift systems and leaking. there are a number of products out there now .. that fix leaks and seal, without the use of Dicor or caulking.
hey .. im not saying they should leak .. but fixing the problem is relatively very easy, and should last the lifetime of the trailer .
