A122s front storage

The tag says: limit.. 150 pounds. Do you think you have more in there?

Yes, probably over the limit...

In the front storage:
  • 2 folding camp chairs
  • 2 Sam's Club white folding tables
  • 2 5-gal water jugs (empty)
  • a homemade 2-burner range (about 12#)
  • electric cord
  • extension cord
  • trailer lego blocks for leveling
  • assorted stuff in a storage bin (10#)
  • frying pan
  • soup pot

It's so convenient, I suspect we are right around 150 or a little over.

I would guess I am over 150 pounds. I like the list idea.. here's mine.
Two chairs
Small aluminum table
EZ up canopy
Clam screen room
Awning mat
Fishing rod and reel
Small tackle box
Awning lights
And maybe 10 pounds worth of little odds and ends.

We just reorganized our front storage. My guess is that we are close to the 150 pounds:
2 chairs, folding table, toys, mat, door mat, bin of towels, paper towels, bathroom tissue, broom, and a stick vacuum. Happy with the storage area.

4 folding chairs
1 folding table
the RV que
toolbox
welcome mat
electric cord
fresh water hose
wheel chocks and the anderson leveler
empty aquatainer
tackle box
fishing poles.

I might be over as well, but not by much and I have a good amount of stuff stowed under the bed to offset the tongue weight.

Back when we bought ours and brought it home, I took the bathroom scale outside and weighed each item I have in trunk. I was over the 150# until I moved some EZ Up anchor weights to another part of the camper.

I have my Bal Leveler, Bal chock, power cord, breaker bar, torque wrench, 50 ft of hose, one chair, a small Aquatainer, Coleman stove, fire starters, and a bunch of stuff I sometime need to help out other campers on my hiking group, like tent stakes. I moved the tools and a few other heavy things to the back of the camper.

I am pretty sure it was overweight when I had a generator in there. It was sitting on to of a frame beam underneath.

IDK the reason for the 150 lb recommendation. If it is just for tongue weight on the TV, then it's not a problem for me. If it is for tongue frame strength, then I need to put the generator someplace else next time I carry it.

I am fairly sure mine is not over 150#, or really even close. I could not afford the extra tongue weight. Would have purchased the model without the compartment had it been in stock.

I believe it is just FR's way of helping people not to have too much tongue weight. No problem with the frame capacity. Consider that the bed is only a few inches away, and there is no sign saying 300 Lb max. That would certainly be a deal killer for me and the wife.

Part of the reason to limit the weight in the front storage is to have proper distribution of total camper weight. 15% tongue weight. My a122s should have make 400 lbs tongue weight. Rides great when loaded correctly.
