A194HW: Questions on (1) Roof Interior & (2) Dinette Cushions

Hello,

We just took delivery on a new Rockwood A194HW yesterday. We have two questions about the interior configuration that have us stumped:

1. On the inside ceiling (above the microwave cabinet) are a series of velcro tabs (see attached picture). Anyone know what these are for?

2. We don't quite understand the configuration of the rear cushion of the dinette. Is there something that is supposed to support the cushion when the dinette is used (see attached picture)? As it is, the cushion just falls backwards and serves no purpose except to look nice.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Chet

First I'm very surprised your dealer didn't show you how to setup the support for the dinette cushion. There should be a support hinged to the bed that folds up and latches on both ends to support the back rest cushion. As far as the Velcro I don't know the answer to that one

I think they are minimalist padding in case the roof bounces against the microwave cabinet while traveling.

Under the cushion is a wood piece that swings up to provide a back rest using the cushion. It has lock that hold it up in place. More of a pain than it worth. I think the dots are to protect the A-Wall when it is closed up to keep the roof from hitting it.

The little round cushion tabs rest against the top half door when it's folded up, they are precisely position to rest on the frame of the window on the door

Learn something new every day. I have one or two, not the large pattern shown in the other post. I thought it was something the previous owner did. I'm going to have to take a look now and see if I should add a couple ...

We have the 194HW and the dinette area looking at your picture there is a divider underneath that cushion. There are 2 pins on each side of the dinette back, if you pull up the divider that cushion is to go in front and you have extra space for storage behind your dinette. I discovered it also after we got home. The dealer said nothing about it to us either. The Velcro tabs on your ceiling is to protect your door and outer wall. We use small piece of foam also to help.

The hubby was also curious about these random white paddings on theroof and we thought the same thing. Would have been nice if they were at least orderly instead of random white paddings

Thanks to everyone for their very helpful replies. I'm happy to say that the dinette issue is resolved (thanks to the forum) and I understand a bit more about the "dots" on the ceiling, Again, thanks to all for your responses. Best regards .... Chet
