A214HW Roof Leak

I have a new 2016 A214HW that is leaking where the pop up part comes together with the rest of the roof. When I called the dealer he said I am past my 90 days and they will now repair leaks at a coast.

Does anyone know if there is a recall for this? This it is the second time that the leak has happened in the same place and I have not had this camper for even year.

Is there a way to repair this leak? There is a beaded seal on the seam where the roof line comes together with with the pop up and I have tried to locate the leak and used Geocel 2300 MHRV on the seam. Or is this an issue with where the hinge is covered with the foam materiel?

If you are having any issues like this anything will help.

Keith

90 days? Something is wrong about that

Call FR warrant and get them to make a decision on warranty coverage. Then find another dealer.

FR Popup Group: 574-642-2640
FR Warranty 574-389-4600

If you bought that unit new where is this 90 day coming from? It should be year on all. Did they repair the first leak? If they did it's still on them anyway, they never repaired it correctly..:

Some dealers tell folks to 'maintain their warranty', they must have the seams and seals inspected every 90 days. I call BS on that.

Contact Forest River and explain what you've said here.

Then as suggested... find another dealer that wants a relationship with you more than just your money.

Wow....every 90 days?....now thats confidence in the build quality....my 2011 is now out in a 100 mm. rainstorm....and there are no worries.

Follow ponellis advice and elevate the issue, and after the fix...again phone and register a complaint.

I called FR and they are now calling the dealer. FR said that my A214HW is still under the warranty and does not know why Guaranty RV would not cover it. FR thought it was weird that that Guaranty would not cover their repair work.

Let us know the results. Sometimes dealers employees make a mistake and if so, the fact that they came through should be noted. Even if they made an initial blunder.

They replaced the whole seal. That goes along the outside roof and hinge. No leeks and happy. The Pacific N.W. can throw a good amount of rain at you. Some thins I worry about the camper floating across the road with some of the the rain storms here. LOL! :-)
