ALiner Fridge

Gonna be pouring lots of questions in here ...

The fridge included is not very big .. 1.9

We will be mostly camping for 2 or 3 days max. I have been looking at these portable coolers that drop the temp 40 degress lower then the outside temp. anyone have any experience with these?

We have had one for over 10 years, and love it. Our fridge isn't very big either. We put all of our drinks in the electric cooler, and then we're not opening the fridge very much, so it works great also. If you have AC, and keep the temp at 80, and the cooler is inside, that means your drinks are about 40 degrees, not the coldest beer, but it works.

Ours is a Coleman, bought at Wal Mart years on special for about $100. I even added a dedicated 12 volt outlet in the camper for where we sit it, and keep it plugged in to 12 volts. That way it works off the convertor when connected to shore power, and continues to run while hooked up and traveling off of 12 volts, supplied by the battery and the tow vehicle.

One last thing, they draw a lot of juice. You can not dry camp with one. Will kill a battery in 24 hours, all by itself.

i posted this in one of your other posts:

just a question, if you don't mind.

why are you asking questions about a Aliner, on a Forest River owner's forum, since it's not made by Forest River?

there's already a great Aliner owner's forum on the web.

not that you aren't welcome and everyone here is friendly and helpful but just asking.
