Bal Leveler

ThunderRoad - I blame (thank) you for this purchase. I never heard of them until you shared that it was on your 'must have' list when you bought your trailer. After researching them & reading what others have said, I thought it would be a terrific investment. DH will just discover it when the time comes. Haha....That thing would have come in handy when I had my Jayco TT - I remember having to borrow my friends blocks because I could not get level and my friend had to back up for me - It would have stunk if not for them being parked next to me in their beadt of a TT...so now that I have a different trailer - I will be better prepared.

Any others in the Forum use one? Love to hear your input! I just hope it will accommodate my 14" tires ok...I know its for 12-15" tires...but the reviews seem mixed on 14" & 15" sizes...but .not enough to deter the purchase.

Tamara - we bought the BAL leveler and it is wonderful!! We've got the 15" tires, so you should be fine with your 14s.

Great mod!!!!

Wonderful news! Thanks! Do you carry it on your deck? In a bag? I've seen a pretty cool pic of someone using foam around the screw and able to carry as a handle as well...keeping the grease contained as well...I just picked it up today....dont anticipate using next weekend but may need it in the trip after that...

We will carry it in some sort of padded bag - going to try a zippered pizza bag, but not sure it'll fit.

Yahoo - I practiced putting it to use & indeed, it fits - plenty of room for the tire! Initially it appeared far too small but then after flipping it around then studying the picture on the box, I realized I was upside down (or inside out?) oh well....admittedly operator error in my excitement to check it out.

I am really glad I bought it & based on Forum members' first hand experience, will not regret it , I defimitely feel this will save me future frustration. ahhhh....life is good.

I love mine! I even used it this past weekend when the State Park site had a nice tilt to it. Glad my recommendation was helpful.

Most people seem to get a padded pizza bag to carry it in, but because of the space limitations and such of the AFrame, I did the rear mount like I documented in my video. It all depends on what works for you and how handy you might be with building the mounting setup.

not me - I am not mechanically handy...leave that stuff for DH - I just come up with the visual and hope he can understand what I want. I think I will just carry it on the gear deck for now LOL...

On another note, I bought a torque wrench at Harbor Freight this weekend. Brought it home for my lesson on using it, DH did one tire and had me do the other. I had no idea of socket size and all that, but I do now... Yay!

Ive had one for about 5 years now .. and still stands up very well. Make sure you grease the screw drive, and cover it with something to retain the grease, cause if you dont grease this little fella, it will fail over time. I keep mine in the origional box it was shipped in .. (real ratty lookin right now) just tucked inside the front door. The Weber Q 120 and cart thingy sits right on tip .. to secure it .. it moves nowhere.

We just bought one also. Have not had a chance to try it out yet. It was heavier and bigger than I expected. Seems very solid. I am sure it will be an improvement over the blocks.
