Battery Disconnect Switch

I just bought a 2016 Flagstaff T21QBHW A frame. I heard that many of the new
Forest River campers come equipped with a battery disconnect switch. Does my camper have a battery disconnect switch already installed? If not, is one suggested?

I don't know if it has one. If it does the PDI tech should have covered it. Call the dealer and ask.

Many people don't use one, but I think a switch is useful. It isolates the battery from parasitic drain when in storage and shuts off power to the camper when dry camping so none is wasted.

I installed a blue sea battery switch on the side of the battery box. I did this after ditching the dealer provideg group 27 battery for a group 29 and putting it in a group 31 box that has extra room inside for the bolts and nuts that attach the switch on the box side.

While you are doing this, get some split wire conduit to cover the wires. It's less unsightly and protects the insulation from color fading and general UV deterioration.
