Battery size

What size battery does the A124 take? I need to bring one when I purchase the trailer.
Thanks, bob

Almost all battery boxes will fit a group 24.

Most will fit a group 27 and some will fit group 31 or 6-volt. If you just want to have a battery for the trailer brakes (required), then the smallest and cheapest 12-volt group 24 battery will suffice. A bigger battery gives you greater capacity for those times when you do not have electrical hookups.

By the way, most dealers will be happy to supply the battery or are you buying used?

Scott,
Thanks or the reply. The dealer wanted $495 for prep that would have included battery and filled propane tanks. I thought that was a little pricey.

Ouch! 495 buys a lot of beer! Very smart to bring your own battery.

our A122bh came with a group 24. the dealer prep was part of the price, they prep all new campers. good call on keeping that 495 for yourself.

The battery size you need is related to how long of a time you want to camp while there is no AC power. With conservation and LED Bulbs you can do very well for at least 3 days with a group 24 battery and still get the ventilation you need to keep the camper cool. Longer times or more power demands, like the running furnace, will need a bigger battery or a recharging system. There is no one right answer.

our dealer included a group 24, at no cost and two filled propane tanks ..(which im still running on) for the purchase price of the trailer ... at 10.4
what Im hearing now that these units are selling for alot more .. in different cities through Canada and the US ,, and these are from people who came up and asked about our trailer at campsites ...
bargain bargain bargain ... seriously .
