Cabin Fever

I'm getting so excited for spring. I can't wait to start the campimg season. This year, west bound. Colorado, California, Arizona, just all over. Just when spring seemed to be on the horizon, 5 more inches of snow, but 50s by the weekend.

I have no idea what you mean. It is expected to hit 90 here in Phoenix this week.

Alright, I just checked. Tomorrow will be the warmest day, but only 88 is expected now.

Neat thing about this state -- don't like the temperature where you are? Then just drive your camper to an elevation where the temperature is more to your liking. In the winter go down in elevation to the desert, or go up to the piney high country in the summer. Spring and fall, go in-between.

Is there a closed RV season in Arizona? Wait!!!! I saw a sign on the freeway " RV Park closed May 15- September 15".

Yup, that sounds like Quartzsite. There are a million out of state long term visitors in the RV parks and parked in the BLM desert land surrounding the town through the winter when the town becomes a booming RV metropolis. But when it gets warm, the place is practically a ghost town. But the summer is when the locals take their rigs, toy haulers and toys up to the National Forest land on the Mogollon Rim at 7000 feet to enjoy the crisp cool air.
