If I am not mistaken the floor has a warranty for 25 years. I agree with you that I wish they didn't use particle wood but then again I don't on keeping my 2014 longer than a few years before upsizing

It's not particle wood or particle board. It's a special outdoor grade of OSB which is superior to plywood because it cannot warp like plywood. It in no way resembles particle board so please don't think of the use of this wood as a cost-saving measure, it's probably one of the materials they did opt to go expensive on.
