Camping in Wyoming

Hi all, just checking in and posting a recent picture from Lake Owen in S Wyoming. Nothing like a cups coffee at first light looking out the windows on a chilly day!

Thanks for sharing. The pines across the lake look brown. Are they? Do they have pine beetles?

Pine Beetles

Yes, that infestation runs heavy throughout the region. In twenty five years all of them will look like toothpicks, in fifty years they'll blow down and rot...unless fire comes first which is certainly has been doing.
Optimism abounds in the burned areas with new green plants and the beginning shoots of Aspen.
