Cut bench cover mod

I have a 213hw. It has the twins that we have set up as a queen turned sideways.

This setup leaves about 2 feet of the twin benches left over gives great extra storage on top

I was thinking about cutting the bench cover over the water pump into two pieces, so the 2-foot section opens independently. That way I don’t have to move the mattress every time I winterize or dewinterize

Any thoughts on this idea?

Curious about your queen mod. Can you post a photo?

I took a different approach to accessing the storage compartments:

Bedlift Kit - Large

I've bought a couple things from hatchlift.

The good: Support seems good, I emailed a question and got a quick response. And the prices seem reasonable.

The bad is shipping: They must be way up in the hills or something. It's expensive and slow.
