Update:
Okay, my screw up! Turns out that the battery is still alive. I took it to the dealer who load tested it after an 8hr. charge and it tested fine.
Upon further reflection I realized my mistake. Previously I posted that I'd installed the battery and took a two hour drive to the camp site and couldn't understand why the battery was discharged.

What I forgot was that I had actually installed the battery 3 days before the trip. I'd connected the 120vac and turned on the fridge to cool it down. THEN (here's what I forgot) I disconnected the 120vac and switched the fridge to 12vdc and left it on overnight (so
about 12 hrs.) THEN drove the 2 hrs up to the site. At that point I did switch off the 12vdc and lit the propane for the fridge. But I guess the damage was already done. The fridge had discharged the battery to the point where it couldn't even keep the radio on.
Lesson learned - no operating the refrigerator by 12vdc. except while underway. Thanks to all who pointed that out.
